Hybrid

Tom Scott and Sarah Flores

Hybrid is a joint video and sound installation-based artwork, utilising video monitors and projectors plus slide projectors hung from the ceiling and a seven speaker sound system within the gallery space.

Based initially on discussions between the two artists over the previous six months prior to the show.

Ideas of visual and aural chants, inside and outside, the near and the far emerging.

The title Hybrid was developed due to the differing viewpoints and positions held by the artists.

Sarah Flores coming from a linguistics, text and music background and Tom Scott from a fine art background steeped in film and sound as materials.
